While you are waiting
You Don't Have to Wait for Every Kind of Support
Waiting for an ADHD or autism assessment can be a long and uncertain period. You may have recognised patterns in your life, been referred by a professional, or reached the point where you want clearer answers. Meanwhile, the everyday difficulties that led you there may still need attention.
The Neurodivergent Hub does not diagnose and cannot shorten or replace an assessment. It offers practical support based on the situation you are dealing with now.

The wait can leave practical needs unresolved
Assessment can matter for understanding, access to some services and personal clarity. But it is not the only point at which support can begin. If meetings are draining, routines keep falling apart, tasks are hard to re-enter or speaking becomes difficult under pressure, a practical response may help before you have an outcome.
Support by need means beginning with a specific experience rather than trying to prove why it happens. That leaves room for uncertainty and avoids turning a useful tool into a conclusion about diagnosis.
What you can work on now
You can explore how you start and finish tasks, what makes communication easier, which environments increase or reduce overload, and which working patterns let you use your abilities well. You can also prepare notes for appointments in your own words without treating those notes as clinical evidence generated by the Hub.
The Hub includes support for communication, work fit, project completion, routines and regulation. It lets you choose a relevant area without completing a broad assessment or daily check-in first.
Keep professional and practical support in their proper roles
Clinical services are responsible for assessment, diagnosis and treatment. The Hub is responsible only for the practical experience it offers. It will not tell you that you have ADHD, autism or another condition, and using it does not imply that you do.
If your health changes, you are struggling to stay safe, or you need clinical advice, contact an appropriate healthcare or emergency service. Practical tools can sit alongside professional support; they are not a substitute for it.
